Our last race for the fall series at WVYC. We are ready to sail at a new level on Sunday. I know everyone is focussed on their position and communications which just could propel us into a "money" finish.
Sorry about the early meeting time for this race BUT we do need a warmup for our positions and the start line is an hour away.
As always pls give me a call if you have any questions and I will see you at 7;15 at the gate of HCM.
ALLONS-Y's work day is moving from afternoons on Thursdays to Wednesdays. If you are able to make it down to the marina in the early afternoon you will be helping to get ALLONS-Y set-up for racing and a cruise + swim that evening at 6-9pm that evening.
Currently I need help to:
wash and scrub all halyards and running rigging to get salt and grit out. This will allow us faster smoother maneuvers with less friction.
lightly sand all teak to remove oxidized "grey" from surface
Gelcoat and finish 5 spots on deck , bow and transom-
rig a sail slide on boom on clew and boom
replace wood trim on cabinets in cabins, galley and salon
repaint black portions of galley and nav station
replace cockpit lifeline cushions
lubricate mainsail outhaul to reduce friction
Install a stopper ball on spinnaker tack line
Remove contents of aft Lazarettes and clean with rags only (do not spray with hose
