We will be sailing from 7pm Friday evening to 11AM Saturday morning  to enable crew members to experience racing in a Long Distance format.

The agenda includes:

  • Pre-race personal KIT inspection by skipper
  • rig jack lines and tethers
  • food storage, meal schedule  and preparation + snacks
  • START near Dundarave Pier at 8pm
  • 2 Watch review- checklist 
  • all points of sail trim at night (1/4 Moon waning)
  • Navigation – Depth, SPEED, VMG,  COG and preferred tack focus
  • sailing a 20 NM route  circumnavigating Popham and  Keats Islands
  • Safety inspection at WVYC at 11 am as required for Southern Straits Classic Race
  • we should be back in  HCM slip before 4:15 pm

Be at Slip N42, Heather Civic Marina - Fri March 24th @ 6:00PM PDT

Crew Color Codes: Green crew is confirmed. Yellow crew need to verify with Skipper. Red does not crew for event. White crew position assignment not made yet and tally as Maybe - need to verify with Skipper.
